Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) is designed to wake up, exercise and open the nervous system, to build capacity and achieve reduced sensitivity and a more resilient physiological state.
Dealing with: Anxiety, depression, problems with sleeping, concentration and memory, trauma, difficulties with social connection, Autism Spectrum Disorder, behavior regulation, general tension in the nervous system.

SSP pathways are designed to help the nervous system to better receive, process and respond to the cues and signals from the world around us. This helps us learn how to more easily and consistently feel better regulated in the face of life’s challenges.

Method:

The Safe and Sound Protocol, is a non-invasive application of Polyvagal Theory, based on decades of research and developed by Dr. Stephen Porges. The SSP’s effectiveness has been proven in a wide range of studies, most notably in two clinical trials involving children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Trial participants demonstrated statistically significant improvements in: emotional control, behavioral organization, hearing sensitivity and listening

How does a session look like: The complete SSP program comprises 3 main pathways: Connect, Core, Balance. Each of the SSP pathways is composed of different filtered, unfiltered and calming 5-hour music playlists for either children or adults. Prices and additional information

Time: Each session lasts up to 60 minutes. During this time, we perform a 30-minute listening session, the remaining time is intended for the regulation and integration of the nervous system. The SSP is combined with the SE.

Session frequency

Each of the SSP tracks consists of a variety of filtered, unfiltered and calming 5-hour music playlists for kids or adults. In a remote session, an external headset is required, a place where it is quiet and we feel comfortable, no one disturbs us.

Connect – the expected number of sessions is 10 but usually it is only a few sessions. At this stage, the nervous system is adjusted to the listening session, the number of sessions depends on the state of the nervous system. Sessions may take place two or three times a week.

Core: The most important step in SSP with intense music filtration. 10 sessions that should be held regularly every day with a break for the weekend or other two days a week.

Balance: Any number of sessions (10 planned), sessions are to maintain the effect of previous work. Sessions do not have to be held regularly, but at least once or twice a week.
